POSITIVE DEVELOPMENTS IN NEGROS OCCIDENTAL AND BACOLOD CITY: 1. A P630M Information technology building and the P66.5M school building of the NOHS in Bacolod City, a P55.1M rice processing center in Bago City - all projects of the provincial government of Negros Occidental. Obvious na boost para sa employment opportunity sa call centers at IT-based jobs on top of much improved communication system via the cyber highway ang itinayong IT building. Partly for food security naman (as rice does not comprise all food consumption of Negrenses, may gulay, meat at dairy products pa) ang itinayong rice processing center sa Bago City. For improvement naman ng education in the main ang itinayong bagong school building bilang bahagi ng Negros Occidental High School ang natapos na edifice. Creation of job opportunities, food security and education - magandang combination na mga projects of the provincial government. My co-UNOR-ian Atty. Joe Valencia who is ahead of of me ng one year sa College of Arts & Sciences, must be smiling at this achievement by his boss Gov. Marañon. SMX Convention Center will open on Oct. 16, 2014, the first SMX convention center in the Visayas, coinciding with the popular Masskara Festival. Natuwa, kulang na lang na excited ako sa sinabi ni Mr. Dexter Deyto, VP ang GM of the SMX Convention Center na inuulit ko dito We are excited for Bacolod City and the province of Negros Occidental. We are looking forward to showcase our SMX brand of exceptional service and to be the catalyst of the growth of the MICE Industry in this side of the Philippines. SMX will be the game changer for Bacolod as it did for Manila, Davao and recently in Taguig City. I believe in what he said. Pang world class ang bubuksan na SMX Convention Center: 8, 218 sq.m. event space, may pre-function lobby, 6 meeting rooms, & 3 function rooms na pwedeng gamitin for 4,500 people. CERTAINLY A BOOST TO BACOLODS TRAVEL, TOURISM AND BUSINESS/TRADE EFFORTS!!! ang masabi k? wow!! bacolod!! :)
