POST PREFACE: Regarding Technicals: Over the last 24 hours - TopicsExpress

POST PREFACE: Regarding Technicals: Over the last 24 hours ive heard from about 30 players (txt, PM, etc) about their experience during the operation. Most feedback was positive and constructive, as usual. We discussed many tweaks and things for next year and ive at least read (but not replied) to each message ive been sent. By far the biggest set of complaints has come from players who were either confused or frustrated with the way the US tank was deployed and used during the event. Primarily Russian players, but also Civilian players. Allow me to address several issues at once: Issue #1 that needs to be cleared up... I thought it was a light vehicle and only took one hit to kill Who told you that? Why did you believe them? The morning briefing had a vehicle section that specifically outlined the vehicle rules and even went into detail about how to handle healing your driver after a hit. Furthermore, there is only one class of vehicle in the game and no discussion or rule was ever posted about light vehicles. For clarification, it will always take at least TWO rockets to destroy a vehicle whether it looks like a bonafide military vehicle or a 1997 honda minivan The general consensus from disgruntled players is: The tank was too powerful, i couldnt do anything against it Theres quite a bit i have to say about this and unfortunately, theres no way to sum it up without coming off as a complete asshole, so let me be VERY CLEAR I am now and always have been incredibly concerned with every players Good time at games. i VALUE your choice to do business with me, and i am listening 100% to ALL complaints and suggestions. I AM TAKING THIS VERY SERIOUSLY so, at the risk of sounding callous and unfair ... You guys got outplayed. The tank was NOT too OP. You had the resources to remove that tank from play every single time you inserted, but you did not manage to accomplish this. I do not want to point fingers or disparage any players ability at any point, but you guys simply hit a brick wall and didnt know how to climb it. Now, please, do not take any of that the wrong way. Im going to take the time, in this gigantic post, to explain each and every thing about why i made the decisions i made, what i think can be tweaked based on the situations we experienced and what solutions im definitely implementing to ensure that you guys have a GREAT time at your next OP that involves a tank like the MRAV you encountered this weekend.
