POSTED ON ANOTHER THREAD: 16 hrs · To be honest, Right now, Im not very happy with Pima Animal Care Shelter. In fact, I have been for a while but I kept my mouth shut for the most part but this thing with Phoebe made me snap. So much more could be done for the dogs there. Right now there are empty Kennels, and for some reason we have dogs being euthanized each week for no good reason. They wont help heal the dogs in their care anymore unless they have certain problems. They are understaffed and both the workers and the criminals need to be re-trained on how to handle the pets. Im constantly seeing the inmates choke the dogs out on leashes when moving them or cleaning the kennels. I see where they put the dogs and Its basically asking them to fight with other dogs and break their necks while waiting for a clean pen. I Just want to clarify that If I didnt love these dogs so damn much I would NOT be a volunteer at PACC anymore. I give the dogs the gentle kindness they need where PACC doesnt and Im sure a lot of the other volunteers are feeling the same way.
