POWER OF SUBMISSION (Concluding Part) Naomi and Ruth is my case - TopicsExpress

POWER OF SUBMISSION (Concluding Part) Naomi and Ruth is my case study. Ruth 1:11-16 11But Naomi said, “Return home, my daughters. Why would you come with me? Am I going to have any more sons, who could become your husbands? 12Return home, my daughters; I am too old to have another husband. Even if I thought there was still hope for me—even if I had a husband tonight and then gave birth to sons— 13would you wait until they grew up? Would you remain unmarried for them? No, my daughters. It is more bitter for me than for you, because the Lord’s hand has turned against me!” 14At this they wept aloud again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law goodbye, but Ruth clung to her. 15“Look,” said Naomi, “your sister-in-law is going back to her people and her gods. Go back with her.” 16But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. 17Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” 18When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her. Ruth, a Moabitess from an Idolatory background became relevant by submitting to the God of Naomi and her discipleship. Moabites daughters are trained for whoredom, sorceries and dance around fire in praising their gods. Ruth could not have become relevant if he had gone back to her people with her sister-in-law, Orpah. She first submitted her will to the God of Naomi by denying herself of her trainings from her background so she could be relevant. To mention the submissiveness of David to God in the part 2 of Power of submission, David refusal to avenge his life by killing His master, Saul is to show how he has completely surrendered his life to God, whom He believed is able to keep and protect him from the attack of Saul in getting his life. Beloveth, there must first be a dying to self if we want to totally submit our lives to God and be triumphant over every challenge that comes our way in this world. As a wife or wife to be, if you are yet to train yourself to submit to God over all issues of your life, it will be difficult to submit to your husband or husband to be especially when he is not saved or saved but immature in the mind. As a subordinate at work, you need to train your human flesh to submit to your superior as to God especially when it appears he is wrong at his decision. Then commit his heart to God for him to do it right. Submission, as simple as the word is, is so difficult for any man or woman who is yet to surrender his wills, emotions, leadership, relationship, home to God. This is because self or the desire to fulfil the passions of our flesh is empowered when we do put it to death by the power of the Spirit. Focus Scripture: Romans 8:12-13 Confession: I AM NOT A DEBTOR TO THE FLESH, TO LIVE AFTER THE FLESH. THROUGH THE SPIRIT, I RECEIVE POWER TO MORTIFY, PUT TO DEATH THE DEEDS & PASSIONS OF SELF OR FLESH Happy new month and Many blessings. With much Love @ Bukola-Ladies World
