PRAY FOR THE POLICE TOO! This is a video account/interview with a young man that was with the 18 year old Mike Brown who was executed/murdered by a police officer this past weekend in #Ferguson a St Louis suburb. GOD is not pleased with this injustice... I PRAY that this BAD COP is dealt with accordingly and that ALL POLICE OFFICERS are given retraining, counseling and mental health evaluations to ensure they are not hateful towards specific people groups on a regular basis.. maybe every 3-5 years or so. We need new NATIONAL policies that communicate ZERO tolerance for racial profiling. New policies that give officers strategies for handling the emotional toll of serving, especially those serving in high crime areas. IT IS NOT AN EXCUSE... NOT AT ALL... but it is a real undeniable source of problems with police officers. What these officers deal with day to day is NOT easy. They can start off normal and wanting to serve in the community they end up hating.. but day after day of seeing justice NOT served when they do play by the book can get very hard to process and along the way, some of them loose themselves. They loose their right minds. Their hearts become hardened. Some STARTED as bigots and hate mongers.. but MOST do not start that way, but end up that way. Some turn their frustrations against their own families at home (just ask police officers wives & children) or turn against themselves or unfortunately some of them turn their frustrations towards whatever people group they fixate on according to their service experience. I do not know what this BAD COP had going on in his mind. Apparently he is full of hate and frustration and young Mike Brown was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I pray that real justice be served... and that, with all the cases of police brutality and racial profiling we see rising to the surface, that we will make strides to set national standards and initiatives that will better equip our police forces to PROTECT PEACE and not evoke terror. - Dr Samantha Phillips, Orlando, FL #JUSTICE4MIKEBROWN #EndPoliceBrutality
