PRAYER OF REPENTANCE 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 Amplified Bible (AMP) 13 If I shut up heaven so no rain falls, or if I command locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, 14 If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. The Lord Jesus Christ is also helping us as we come to our God the Father with humbleness. For we, Christians, belong to the "New Testament or new Covenant in Christ Jesus, we address to him our prayer, Jesus is our only access, and he also intercede for us to God the Father. Mark 11:24 Jesus said, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Jesus is also our "High Priest" Hebrews 4:14 Amplified Bible (AMP) 14 Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him]. Therefore since we have a great High Priest, who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
