PRAYER : THE FUEL THAT FUELS REVIVAL part 1. Pray without season. 1Theso 5:17 Every genuine, lasting revival is that which stands on two legs...A proper understanding of the word of God and a correct application of that word in penitent prayers. So i call prayer the OTHER LEG OF REVIVAL! If we are going to see revival...live revival and breathe revival, we must use these two legs courageously! We must be taught to pray even as John taught his disciples and Jesus followed suite. The lord must sentenced us to prayer anew! many of us arent praying...we are actually playing...some of us are only used to CONGREGATIONAL PRAYERS! Some pay lip service to the ministry of prayer. That text says pray WITHOUT SEASON. It means pray without a break, without stopping...No good season to pray , no bad season not to pray ! Prayer becomes our spiritual oxygen as new creatures of the new race! A lot of us pray but only when calamities struck. EMERGENCY PRAYERS are too common these days. Prayer POINTS and prayer BULLETINS are strange to the biblical ministry of prayer... We pray more when a life is at ICU but stop when the patient is out! That is a seasonal prayer! To fast many days before wedding but stop at honey moon is a violation of pray without season. When will it dawn on us that God does nothing except in answer to prayer?... we must live to pray and pray to live! God seek men on their knees .These days when a pastor message is soft and watery, and members come to tell him after service that was a good message..It was a clever one. It was cool sir. This is serious spiritual poverty! The word of God is Like FIRE...AND HAMMER... never a GLADIATOR! The man of God should stop preaching and go to exile and look for God afresh. Other wise he is digging the cemetery of that church..oh how many grave yards we attend as church services these days! Cold as the mortuary! Fire ,real fire is lacking in our pulpits and the pew. We are just patching up things brethren! We have stopped praying as a church long time ago. when sinners chew gum and stroll to altar calls is because prayers...real holy ghost power is absent! Even family altar fire where our children should meet the first divine encounter is fast burning out!.The quest for more money and wealth has overtaken many homes on this. We need to overhaul the prayer ministry of the church..we need to urgently raise real people who know the potent power of prayers. Grandparents must dust their prayer life as well. I am enjoying the prayer ministry of my mother inlaw these days. She prays. I bear her witness. She keeps us all on her bended kneels. In the last meeting we hosted here in Lagos, this 74 years old mother inlaw does it for me...Can she challenge you dear sister? Many sisters have lost their prayer closet and have come to the open..peting with their husbands...arguing than praying...nagging than traiveling! Where are praying pastors who collect divine messages on their kneels for their congregations? rare! Many copy TD Jakes...Mike Mudock...Beny Hinn..some just download live and direct and stamp it on the church! Stop killing the church sir! If this church must deliver revival successfully and birth the needed move of a transformational outburst across continents , this OTHER LEG of Revival must be picked up intensively individually! Men ought always to pray and not to faint. The campus must pray...the land must pray...the church must pray. Prayer vigils have been misapplied now...some are just for fanfare ..others to entertain and crack Bible riddles and jokes..few there be that truly pray! Just keep praying....the more u dont feel like praying the more u should.....infact just to know u have not been praying , is the work of divine grace to pray at that time but be sure every child of God has d prayer deposit...d potential is there...the residue...fan it to flames...making prayer informal...regular...relational and interactive with d lord is best means to pray without season after all God is only a prayer far away!
