PREPOSITIONS –post 3 Hi friends, Let us know something more about prepositions. The following different prepositions are used when telling about different” Places ” (Positions and Directions). IN : -------------room, building, street, town, country. Examples: Samin khan is “in the kitchen”, Kemmy is “in Nigeria”. -------------book, paper etc. Examples: The lesson is “in the book”. -------------car, taxi Example: They are “in the car, (in a taxi)”. --------------picture, world Examples: There is a tree “in the picture”. He traveled all the countries “in the world”. AT : ---------------meaning next to, by an object Examples: Zilay is “at the door”. Sofi is “at the station”. ---------------for table Examples: They are “at the table”. ----------------for events Examples: We are “at a concert”. All students attended at the party. ----------------place where you are to do something typical (watch a film, study, work) Examples: We meet “at the cinema”. They are playing “at the school”.
