Energy And Environment Foundation awarded the prestigious “Energy And Environment Foundation Global Awards 2014” in Environment, Sustainability, Waste Met and Green Buildings to the renowned scientists and leading scientific institutions Worldwide. The said awards in the above-mentioned four main subjects were awarded in Gold, Silver and the Bronze categories. “Energy And Environment Foundation Global Sustainability Award : 2014 (Gold Category)”, was awarded to the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA). “World Renewable Energy Technology Congress” 2014 (WRETC 2014) held at New Delhi was attended by Dr. Vinod Kumar Sharma, scientist at ENEA research centre Trisaia, in Italy. Dr. Sharma, a distinguished member of International Advisory Committee, on special invitation from the conference organizer, in addition to chairing a technical session, also participated, as a distinguished Panellist in the Panel Discussion Session on “Innovation – R&D in Renewable Energy” and a distinguished member at Thought Leadership Summit on Renewable Energy - The Road Ahead”. It is worth to note that in addition to the high quality work presented by Dr. Sharma that earned him great appreciation/ respect from larger section of the participants, his impressive way to represent excellent contributions, commitment and actions undertaken by ENEA Research Centre Trisaia that helped his institution to improve the management of natural resources, demonstrate new ways to tackle climate change, raise awareness of emerging environmental challenges, etc., convinced the highly qualified Jury-experts from Government, Academia and Industry to recommend presentation of very prestigious Energy And Environment Foundation Global Sustainability Award : 2014 (Gold Category)” to ENEA Research Centre Trisaia for his outstanding achievements in research on energy efficiency and renewable energy. Dr. Sharma got the honour to receive this prestigious award on behalf of ENEA Research Centre Trisaia.
