PRESIDENT JONATHAN EFFECTIVELY ENDS THE CIVIL WAR 46YEARS AFTER With the official landing of the first International flight at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu many years after the Nigerian civil war that lead to the economic blockade against the South East Block which lasted for 46 years leading to under development, lack of industries and dilapidation of public infrastructure in the Southeast Block. Today President Jonathan has demonstrated again the ability to be a true statesman that have kept to his words as he indisputably becomes the first president in the history of Nigeria to effectively end the civil war in compliance and in respect of the gentleman’s agreement of no victor, no vanquish. Over the years many South Eastern have had to leave their homelands to seek for jobs or to settle in other states due to nearness to international Airports, with many having to build industries in those states as they found it convenient to book and fly to various destinations of the world to carry out their legitimate business. All these have helped in the bloated development achieved in many of these states. With the first landing of an international flight in the South East, a true reunification of the Nigerian nation is about to be witnessed 46 years after, thanks to the true statesmanship of President GoodLuck Ebele Jonathan.
