PRESIDENT’S SCHOLARS - EXAMINATION BEGINS ********************************************************************** Examination for the President Scholarship Program has started Saturday. There are 5,000 hopefuls around the country. In July, President U Thein Sein launched the program, which is offered in three types, to increase the capacity of civil service. However, it remains unclear about which universities candidates will attend, how many scholarships will be awarded, and how much the program will cost. There are 10 examination centers for this scholar program in Yangon, Mandalay, Magwe, Monywa, Taunggyi and Mawlamyine. Examinations are held from 6 to 12 December. Candidates sit an English-language test as a first selection. Those who pass will then under a psychological test and interview.
