PRESS RELEASE ----- PRESS RELEASE ----- PRESS RELEASE DATE/TIME: 10/20/14 Approx. 230 am LOCATION: 7-11 Store 2501 Centreville Rd. Centreville, MD. INCIDENT: Armed Robbery/1st Degree Assault INVESTIGATOR: Cpl. R. L. Hobbs NARRATIVE: On October 20, 2014 at approx. 0230 hrs., 2 unknown black males entered the 7-11 store at 2601 Centreville Road Centreville, MD., brandished handguns and demanded money. During the course of the robbery, one of the males subsequently physically assaulted the clerk. The males then fled the store with an unknown amount of money and other merchandise. After taking the money and fleeing the store, a QA Co. Deputy spotted a suspicious vehicle that he believed was involved in the incident on WB US 50 in the area of the 50/301 split. After initially stopping the vehicle, the driver sped away and a high speed pursuit ensued which led into Anne Arundel County at which time the suspects eluded capture. The investigation is continuing. The Centreville Police Department is being assisted by the Maryland State Police and the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.
