PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CELINA, OH – Mercer County Sheriff Grey issued a reminder to motorist today to be on the look out for slow moving farm machinery on the roads. “It is that time of year when the agricultural community will be working around the clock to plant crops,” stated Sheriff Grey. The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind motorists that agricultural equipment is usually wider than the lanes of travel on our roadways. Motorists should slow down and use caution when passing agricultural equipment, both oncoming and when traveling in the same direction. Farm vehicles will be entering and exiting the roadway from fields and some farm equipment may be parked on the roadway for short periods of time. “We live in an agricultural community, the farmers are our friends and neighbors, let’s help them make this a safe agricultural year,” stated Sheriff Grey.
