PRESS RELEASE: The Northwest Iowa Down Syndrome Society is pleased to announce its Eighth Annual Buddy Walk will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29, at Historic Arnolds Park Amusement Park. Registration and silent auction begins at 1 p.m. in the Majestic Pavilion with the Buddy Walk starting at 1:30 p.m. and walking along the bike trail by West Lake Okoboji. An ice cream social will follow the walk at the Nutty Bar Stand in the Queens Court. Arnolds Park Amusement Park will be open from 2-5 p.m. to offer our children some fun on the children’s rides, and there will be a special excursion on the Queen II on Lake Okoboji at 3 p.m. The silent auction concludes and winners will be announced at 4 p.m. in The Pavilion. Individual registration is $12 per person or $35 per family. Team registration for teams up to 10 people is $60. All registration fees include a Buddy Walk T-shirt.
