PRISMS is looking for partners from Programme Countries for a training course entitled; ‘The Recipe for Success’. The training course will be hosted in Malta between the 23 February – 1 March 2015. “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. But if you give him a fishing rod, you feed him for a lifetime”. This ancient proverb describes the learning style and methods adopted during this training project. The intention is not only to provide specific cooking skills and recipes of how to cook a couple of dishes but also to motivate participants about the importance of living healthy, namely by consuming healthy food and by leading a more active lifestyle, while enjoying when possible, a slower pace of life. The idea is to instigate participants to reflect on how they learn best so that when they need to learn or execute anything, they will take the responsibility to complete their learning. This learning process, also known as, the self-directed learning process will help participants to become accountable for their own learning experience and follow it through to its conclusion. For this Training we are asking interested partners to send 2 young people aged between 15-17 and a youth worker/leader to accompany them. The training programme will be divided into two different methodologies. Methods which are appropriate for young people to acquire awareness about healthy living in a practical way and youth workers to learn how to use food as a tool for youth work. Important details; 3 participants from each partner (2 young people (15 - 17 yrs of age) and an youth worker) Interested partners are to send an email on recipeforsuccess.prisms@gmail We will accept emails from interested partner until Saturday 13th September. On the 14th of September we will notify the selected partners
