PROPHECY, The Queen Of Sheba Prophecies, by Wayne Blank The Hebrew word pronounced sheh-baw means either an oath, or seven, depending on the circumstances, although they sometimes meant the same in usage i.e. to make an oath or agreement was to seven it. Sheba (sometimes rendered as Seba) was also used as a personal name for a number of people (no pun intended), including an ancestor of Abraham (and therefore also of Jesus Christ i.e. (1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham Matthew 1:1 KJV). 1:19 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brothers name was Joktan. 1:20 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, 1:21 Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah, 1:22 And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba, 1:23 And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan. 1:24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah, 1:25 Eber, Peleg, Reu, 1:26 Serug, Nahor, Terah, 1:27 Abram; the same is Abraham [see also Raghead Racism]. (Genesis 10:7 KJV) The name Sheba was also used in compound form, for people and places. The well-known town of Beersheba (which means well of an oath) was founded when Abraham dug a well there. King Solomons mother, a wife of King David, was Bathsheba (which means daughter of an oath). (21:29 And Abimelech said unto Abraham , What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves? 21:30 And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well. 21:31 Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they sware both of them. 21:32 Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines. (Genesis 21:29-32 KJV) 12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him. (2 Samuel 12:24 KJV) The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment ... for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here) Sheba was also used as geographic term for a kingdom in Arabia (which in ancient times included the Sinai and parts of Africa ). It was from there that the Queen of Sheba made her famous visit to King Solomon (whose mother, Bath-Sheba was likely still living at the time). The Visit Of The Queen Of Sheba (10:1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD [i.e. Jesus Christ; ], she came to prove him with hard questions. 10:2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train , with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart. 10:3 And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not. 10:4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomons wisdom, and the house that he had built, 10:5 And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her. 10:6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom. 10:7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard. 10:8 Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom. 10:9 Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king [see Israelite Monarchy - The United Kingdom], to do judgment and justice. 10:10 And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon. 10:11 And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones. 10:12 And the king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD, and for the kings house, harps also and psalteries for singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen unto this day.
