PROVEN POWER IN PRAYER “I spent yesterday IN THE HOSPITAL with my WIFE Olga who will be undergoing a MEDICAL PROCEDURE this afternoon. We were both feeling BADLY that we were unable to go to church as we normally do on Sundays. I was returning from the cafeteria and the gift shop when it struck me HOW IMPORTANT IT WOULD BE FOR MY WIFE TO HAVE A PRIEST come to her room and SAY A PRAYER FOR HER. How could I make that happen today? ... I wondered. At that very moment I turned a corner and saw a MAN IN A BLACK SUIT. ‘Are you a Catholic priest?’ I asked. ‘Yes, I am,’ he said. Listening to my predicament he AGREED IMMEDIATELY TO VISIT WITH OLGA and say a prayer with us. I introduced myself to him and he did the same: ‘Im Father Noonan.’ It was very familiar. ‘Are you BISHOP NOONAN?’. He nodded, sure enough. So, in as long a time as it takes to take 4 or 5 steps, GOD GAVE HIS ANSWER to my NON-VERBAL PRAYER in the form of his messenger, the Bishop of Orlando, who prayed with us. Thank you, God, for bringing a calm to our storm.” Kevin Faubel •••• Isn’t it amazing how God can answer a prayer in an instant? He will do that for YOU too! And the more you converse with Him ... the kind of daily conversation you’d have with a dear, trusted friend ... the more you’ll see evidence of answered prayers. “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” That’s the promise of Matthew 21:21. Two things to remember: 1. Another word for answered prayer is godwink. 2. Let us each say a prayer today for Olga’s medical procedure. Good wishes for a great week filled with godwinks. SQuire
