PROVERBS - WEEK 8: FEAR OF GOD 7"Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones." (Proverbs 3:7-8) This is the final week in our summer series on Proverbs. We conclude with an overarching theme in proverbs: the fear of God. There are other words that can be substituted for this “fear”: awe, reverence. This kind of fear is healthy. It’s the kind of fear a good son has of a good father’s rebuke.
