PSA: I dont find it amazing that those who spew racist sentiments tend to, afterwards, claim that they arent racist. If they could detect it with compassion, most times they would understand it and eliminate it all together. I understand its a learning process if one is willing. So this might sound like a joke, but: if you feel that something you might think or say is questionably racist or falls into the systems implemented racism, come to me first... no judgements, as were not prone to human error. Its a learning process, especially if you grew up on the system in a particular way. As a child, I grew up being wrongfully raised on what makes me out be a man, whereas Id say things like you [verb] like a girl, and use degrading slurs. Yet, women are stronger than men most of the time, and are equals, though the construction of society claims (and told me) different. I had this mind-state because I was raised as a man, so I couldnt detect it since man was the norm for me. So as a teen, I had to ASK (especially myself) why I said these things; and recognized how as a man, this world (in the sense of gender) catered to me. This goes for systematic racism as well. So if you say anything that falls in those lines, I will address it in the form of care, as I do with the people I know personally outside of Facebook. Im just hoping that before that even occurs, you build with me first. Find out where your thoughts come from, and why. The world youre witnessing now, is because people fail to understand themselves and truly take action towards it... and if you cant truly understand yourself, you wont be able to understand anyone else.
