PSA/Rant: When taking a right turn onto a two lane road (two lanes going one direction) DO NOT swing directly into the left lane unless you are ABSOLUTELY SURE that there is no car taking a left turn from the opposite direction. I almost was hit by a car that tried this today at the intersection of Velp Ave. and Riverview Drive. The only thing that saved me was luck and defensive driving (had this crazy thought this might happen). To the white mid-sized sedan who almost ruined my day, heres a copy of the Wisconsin Motorists Handbook. Please read the section on Turning, pg 22, in particular the first paragraph.
