PSA for Camberwell/Glen Iris/ Ashburton dog owners and visitors to the area; Please be aware there is a nasty dog owner frequenting Lynden Park and surrounds claiming to work as an Animal Behaviourist contracted by Boroondara Councils Animal Control Department under the potentially false name Jennifer Calnan. Having spoken to Boroondara Council this morning they can confirm that this is not true, and are concerned that this is occurring. An official complaint has been made against this woman and Council are looking into the matter further. The woman is approximately 50 years old with long straight grey hair, approx 160cms tall and overweight/obese build. She usually wears casual pants and a t-shirt (no uniform). She usually carries 1-2 black mountain hiking sticks which are used to prod/poke dogs (hers and others). She owns two red Cocker Spaniels approx 10yrs old, both of which engage in frequent antisocial humping behaviour. The woman is verbally aggressive, offers false and inaccurate dog behaviour directions, and takes photos of others dogs claiming to be gathering data for Boroondara Council. She is best avoided but if you have an encounter with her, dont hesitate to contact Boroondara on 9278 4444 and cite the reference 6786055.
