PSYCHOLOGICAL PARALYSIS My neighbour woke me up singing my grandmother’s favourite Methodist hymn this dawn…she used to wake the whole house up with her singing and I remembered something she told me that has helped me on my journey with Christ. When we fight for a long time and we don’t see the end of the tunnel we sometimes find ourselves in the ‘there’s nothing I can do!’ mode and we just throw up our hands and give up on fighting to move forward. Other times it’s the people around us who are in this mode and what we do is condemn, berate and treat them with indignation. But STAGNANT PEOPLE ARE SICK and what they need is our INTERCESSION (bearing each other up - this is what the Body of Christ is lacking greatly today). People in this state need EXHORTATION to RISE above their indolence or adversities. I must however warn that you need to REFUSE TO SUCCUMB to that spirit when you’re very close to such a person. I know it’s DIFFICULT to PRAY when you’re in this position, and that’s when my grandmother’s wisdom comes in handy. She said to me: THERE ARE DAYS IN LIFE WHEN YOU’RE CONFUSED AND YOUR HEART IS SO HEAVY YOU CAN’T PRAY. WHEN THAT HAPPENS…SING! AND YOU WILL SEE HOW DIFFERENT YOU WILL FEEL. You see my granny didn’t have much knowledge about spiritual things but she had PURE, SIMPLE FAITH that WORKED. If you’re in this place DO NOT SIT and HOST YOUR SPIRITUAL FUNERAL! – RISE and MOVE in your PERSONAL WALK and PREDESTINED WORK with JESUS, STEADILY SEEK His Word and Presence and DISCHARGE the duties He gives you HEARTILY; and lastly remember to SING or just HUM that song and you’ll be stunned at the way the Lord will VISIT, BLESS, REINVIGORATE and USE you, even while you’re still ‘besieged’ by the sad sons of stagnancy. *I pray for you, that whatever be, God will always put a song in your heart and you will find the strength to move forward steadily. #singingsongs #praisingGod #fightinghard #movingon DARE-DEVIL CREW
