PUBLIC ADVISORY [May 4]:The supposed rally of the Mindanao Alliance for Peace (MAP) at Plaza Pershing from 8am-3pm today was cancelled by the City govt based on recommendations of the police/military authorities & for the interest of the majority of Zamboangueños. The deployment of police/mil forces in strategic areas downtown & the outlying barangays is part of the pre-emptive security measures to safeguard the city and people. The PNP/AFP & civilian govt are on top of the situation & will do everything possible to ensure the welfare of the constituents. Let us remain vigilant but calm & voluntarily share info regarding suspicious activities, baggage or personalities in your area. Refrain from forwardng unverified text messages.
