PUBLICS HELP SOUGHT IN FINDING MURDER SUSPECT Oregon State Police is asking for the public’s help to locate a 44-year-old Josephine County man wanted on suspicion of murder in connection with a November 2013 homicide in Cave Junction. OSP detectives started handing out informational fliers in southern Josephine County on Wednesday to help alert area citizens as they look for the wanted man. Daniel Joseph Martinson, 44, has a felony warrant issued for the death of Aaron Lee Clouser, 39, of Cave Junction, whose body was found on a street in Cave Junction on Nov. 5. OSP described Martinson as a white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 155 pounds. Officials believe Martinson may have shaved his head and might not have facial hair as shown in the photograph OSP is distributing. Martinson is missing a front tooth and has a tattoo on his back of a pit bull dog with the word “outlaw” underneath, OSP said. Martinson is known to frequent the Illinois Valley area around Cave Junction, Selma and Kerby in Josephine County and is considered armed and dangerous, OSPsaid. On Nov. 5, 2013, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a report was received of a man lying in the road in the 200 block of W. Millie Street in Cave Junction. The deceased man was later identified as Clouser, and his death was determined to be a homicide. The cause of the death is not being released until approved by the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office. NBC 5 News of Medford reported that Clouser had just moved back to Cave Junction and had started live sober to get his life back on track. OSP Criminal Investigations Division detectives have been investigating the homicide with the assistance of the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office, Grants Pass Department of Public Safety and Josephine County Parole and Probation.
