PURSUE PEACE For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but … peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14:17 The kingdom of God is not just about miracles which many people believed today. The kingdom of God is not just about healing, prosperity and so on and so forth, but the kingdom of heaven is about peace. Peace with our God, peace with ourselves and peace with our neighbors. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. Psalms 34:14. The bible wants us to always pursue and seek out for peace with our fellows because if our relationships with men are broken then our relationship with God won’t be spared; it will also break. We shouldn’t wait for peace to come to us; we should rather pursue and seek for it. Our hunger to get things right with God is reflected in the extent at which we pursue for peace in our troublesome world. The bible asks us to pursue it because it’s not easy to live peacefully in our wicked world (Heb. 12:14). Any man that is at peace with his fellow is someone that had allowed people step on his right, talk to him any how and so on. The real proof that someone is a child of God is not how long that person can fast and pray, it’s not how many services the persons attends in a week, it’s not the amount of money the person donates to church etc. but how peaceful this person is with his fellow. A troublesome man cannot be a child of the Kingdom of God. It’s not always easy to be at peace with all men but … If possible, so far as it depends upon you, live peaceably with all.
