Pablo Escoburger, with added pulled pork at Ze Pickle in Burleigh Heads, on the Gold Coast. I had been hanging to try this place out for quite some time, last time I went in unprepared as they did not offer a gf bun, and it seemed quite sacrelidge to eat it in lettuce san choi burg stylee. This bad boy was loaded with a wagyu beef patty, guac, corn chips, aioli, cheese and the pulled pork that I added to the burger, all on a genius brand gf bread roll. The pulled pork was great, maybe slightly dry if anything, could have been more saucy. The burger patty was cooked ok, but no pink left in it, I just need to make sure I ask for rare from now on there. Otherwise the ingredients just worked well together, the crunch from the corn chips when taking a bite added another level of texture which was quite welcoming amongst the other tender ingredients. I think it could have done with regular corn chips instead of nacho cheese or whatever they were, but thats just a personal preference. The construction held it all together well on my supplied bun, but its not a massive burger overall. Overall the winner here is the flavour, all top knotch ingredients which forms the main part of the score, and I could have eaten two I reckon. For around $20 just the burger it wasnt cheap, esp considering I used my own bun, but you are paying for the high quality ingredients and location. I give it 3.7/5 pickles and Ill defo go back to sample some of their other burgs.
