Paderborn became the unlikely league leaders after a 2-0 win over Hannover. The Bundesliga newcomers continued their dream start to the season after Mortiz Stoppelkamp scored an early contender for goal of the season with an incredible 83-meter strike in stoppage-time. With Hannover keeper Ron-Robert Zieler joining his sides final attempt at an attack, Stoppelkamp received the ball on the edge of his own area. The striker chested it down, turned and sent it deep into the Hannover half to watch it trickle into the the net. Ronny’s 7th-minute stoppage-time goal rescued a point for Hertha Berlin as they drew with Freiburg 2-2 on Friday night. Augsburg earned their 2nd win of the season with a convincing 4-2 victory over Werder Bremen. Bayern were frustrated with a 0-0 draw with Hamburg whilst Schalke and Frankfurt each earned a point as they played out to a 2-2 draw. Stuttgart dropped to the bottom of the #Bundesliga after a 2-0 loss to Hoffenheim at the Mercedes-Benz-Arena. Goals from Anthony Modeste and Tarik Elyounoussi pushed Hoffenheim to equal-1st on 8 points. Dortmund fell to their 2nd defeat of the season after a 2-0 loss to Mainz. Wolfsburg bounced back from their Champions League loss to Everton with a solid 4-1 win over 10-man Bayer Leverkusen. Cologne and Borussia Monchengladbach played out a to a 0-0 draw at the Rheinenergiestadion.
