The movie was great success and it was released in diwali 1986, those days I was doing my 8th std and I watched movie in pongal 1987 with my cousin. .but unable to get tickets in first attempt and next day we went early 9 o clock to get tickets. .. It ran, I remembered more than 200 days.. Great acting and comedy. .by rajini. Actually he was a huge fan of sivaji and have a lot of respect on him.. . That can be seen in this movie clearly. .. The movie is full of fun and sentiments. The combination of rajini, sivaji, janagaraj, nagesh, ambika and other characters are very good.. Janagaraj yin Thangachikku nai katchichuppa....a fun scean cannot be forget.. Ambika vin pragnet drama to sell liquor and rajini comedy to it along with nagesh was so funny and excellent. ...Unforgettable The song Oorai therinjikittan ulagam purinjikitten was record break and sounds everywhere. ... What a great style and acting by rajini...and a simple but awesome composition... Of course lyricis by vairamuthu. . The music was very excellent by ilayaraja and all songs were super duper hit. Rajavukku raja naan than Jodi kiliyenga. .. Oorai therinjikittan. . Are so fabulous songs.. The court scean, thengai srinivasan and jaishankar. .performance very super..
