Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are suffering from water shortage. Water in Gaza is polluted and unsuitable for the human use, as it is mixed with the sewage system. The damage caused by Israeli attacks on Gaza’s infrastructure & networks shows the truth about water conditions in the besieged enclave. Gazans are now in desperate need for additional desalination plant to cover their needs.The estimated loss of water system as a result of Israeli attacks is over 34 Million$. 95% of the drinking water in Gaza is polluted and has caused diseases in the besieged territory. It has also increased the death rate among the Palestinian children. The Israeli blockade of Gaza has worsened the situation as it prevents the required facilities enter the enclave.
