#PandaStar: Mei Bangs Happy Life After One Year in China More than one year has passed since “Mei Bang” and “Yong Bang”, the panda twins from Japan came to live in Chengdu on February 26, 2013. Recently, the one-year anniversary of their arrival was celebrated at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding where they now live. The event won high praise from many individuals who witnessed their happy life in Chengdu. “Mei Bang”, the elder sister, inherits their mother Liang Bang’s excellent qualities and is a typical beauty with a round face and expressive eyes. After returning to her hometown, she quickly became accustomed to her new life in Chengdu; she currently lives at the Dujiangyan Research Center for Giant Panda Breeding and Releasing established with funds from the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Foundation. There are many luxuriant trees and green bamboo in the Center and fresh air. Mei Bang’s room is large and bright and surrounded by thick vegetation. Living in such a picturesque place, Mei Bang has become more and more beautiful. What is happiness? In fact, happiness is simple. Let’s see how “Mei Bang” interprets the word “happiness”!
