Pantry Drive. Please help us restock the pantry leading up to the busiest time of year for charities. (Suggested items list below) Our supplies are extremely low again as we have been very busy with emergency packs. This week alone so far we have provided 26 packs. Each pack ranges in cost between $60-$160 (depending on the number of people within the family that requires aid). Emergency packs are requested by members of our community that are struggling. This includes, homeless people, those at risk of homelessness, impoverished, elderly, those who are ill or those who are struggling following a death of a partner. 98% of those we help have not got enough to provide the next meal to their family or have gone without food for days prior to contact. We rely on donations to enable us to provide these packs. We try and keep a stockpile of pantry items to begin our packs and depending on the needs of the family we then use financial donations to purchase items like nappies, formula, fresh milk, fresh bread, eggs, meats, cheeses, fruits and vegetables etc (items that cannot be stored long term). We are also sometimes requested to help with medication costs. Please help us where you can. We are a fully registered charity and therefore ANY donation is able to claim be claimed in FULL on your tax. IF you purchase items and donate them on - these items can be receipted back to you and you can claim that money back.
