Parade of Big Balloons to Step-Off at 11 A.M. in Springfield SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — It’s been a fixture in downtown Springfield since 1991: the Tower Square Parade of Big Balloons. The parade will feature a number of massive inflatable friends, including “Cat in the Hat’, as well as several local bands and marchers representing various community groups. This year’s parade marshal is Colonel Thomas Kleeland with the Air Force Junior ROTC at Springfield’s Central High School. The parade step at 11 a.m. and will move down Main Street in Springfield, from Lyman Street to Locust Street. Once again, ABC40 is proud to take part in this longstanding holiday tradition.
