Parent Note September 6, 2013 *************************************************************************************************************** ARCHERY: Just a reminder that Archery will begin on Monday, September 9 during your child’s activity period. It will be every Monday. There will be a tryout conducted for Archery this year. Archery is available to students in 4th – 12th grade. GAMES: Next week we have two games: Tuesday, September 10th – Varsity Volleyball begins at 5:00pm followed by Flag Football at 6:30pm at Victory in Jacksonville and Friday, September 13th – Flag Football begins at 5:00pm, JV Volleyball begins at 6:30pm followed by Varsity at 8:00pm at Hope. Directions will be available on Monday if you need them. We are still in need of volunteers to work the concession stand and gate for home games. Please see Coach Josh. PTO: Our first PTO meeting will be Monday, September 9th at 7pm. I encourage you to come out and give us your ideas. We are anxious to hear from parents. If you have not yet joined PTO the dues are $5 per family. BAKE SALE: Our first bake sale of the year will be Friday, September 13th. The JV volleyball team will be hosting this bake sale to raise money to attend camp in the summer. BOY SCOUTS: There will be a Boy Scout leader coming to the school on Monday, September 23rd during school to talk with the boys in the 1st – 5th grade about joining the boy scouts. Then on Tuesday, September 24th at 7pm there will be a parent meeting for those interested in joining. NEW STUDENTS: If you are a new student and have not yet had a personal meeting with Mr. Fender please give Mrs. Moody a call to schedule an appointment next week. NEW FAX NUMBER: The school now has a different fax number, (904) 966-2350. T-SHIRTS ON SALE: We have several different styles of t-shirts on sale, 2 for $15. Get yours while supplies last so that you will have them for Dress Down Days. TUITION: Just a reminder that monthly tuition ($250) is due on the 1st of each month so your next one is due September 1st, if it is received after the 10th of the month it is considered late and will increase to $300 per month. Please don’t be late. SEE YOU AT THE POLE: We hope you will join your child for “See you at the pole” on Wednesday, September 25th at 8am. Students will meet at the flag pole out in front of the church or on the church steps depending on grade. CHAPEL: Chapel will remain the same for the remainder of the year as it has been for the last couple of weeks: K4 – 6th grade will be on Tuesdays and 7th – 12th grade will be on Wednesdays. UNIFORMS: Your child will be receiving all their NCA clothes that have been previously ordered up to this point, today. If they are still missing something please get with Mrs. Moody as soon as possible.
