Parent representatives needed to discuss complex maternity and neonatal care. Have you had a baby in the last 5 years in the West Midlands? Was your pregnancy complicated? Did your baby need care on a neonatal unit? The West Midlands Strategic Clinical Network are undertaking a project to look at complex maternity care, and would like to get in touch with parents who are able to share their views and influence how care is provided in the future. They are looking for parent representatives to discuss very sensitive issues, so you need to be in a place where you are able to discuss your experiences, although extra support will be made available for you if needed. From the maternity side they would like to talk to Women who experienced a serious haemorrhage after birth, or had a Caesarean section on request. Parents experiences are also needed if your baby was transferred to another hospital for care, particularly if your baby received cooling treatment. Also needed are parents with a baby born after 37 weeks that needed care on the neonatal unit. If you have sadly experienced a stillbirth, or your baby died in the first few weeks after birth, your views are also sought. If you would like more information, please PM Ally Davies with your email address and phone number and she will get in touch. Thank you for reading, Cheryl, Bliss Nurse
