[Parental Advisory: this post contains mention of classical, world, and bluegrass fusion, idk what but its damn good music. There are also some vulgar words. Get under the cultural umbrella, art deals with the stuff of life!] Im listening to Yoyo Ma and his Silk Road Ensemble a lot lately, and recalled that _this_ side project had grown out of that... However the main reason I recall having heard about The Goat Rodeo Sessions is because for several years a friend and I have used the term goat rodeo as a euphemism for what military folks would call Charlie Foxtrot; a cluster-f**k, in other words a situation that is screwed up beyond all belief often with an element of the absurd front and center. I mean seriously, _goat_ rodeo? In our warped little world, our use of the term evolved from quoting Agent Coulsons remark in the first Ironman movie, not my first time at the rodeo... But whatever occasion inspired the change, it got there by way of goat f**k due to the spectacularly unlikely or unusual combination of factors leading up to that weeks social poo storm. Somewhere along the line, we decided that goat rodeo was a far more suitable expression for general use in public. Imagine _my_ surprise when hard on the heels for our little linguistic coup de grace, I discovered that this is an actual thing... With a meaning suspiciously akin to our home made one. Whether this is a case of simultaneous evolution or somehow, someone has a six degree social diffusion going on here, I have no idea. But clearly the world needs more Goat Rodeo (sessions).
