Parental Alienation Syndrome Most people dont have a clue what parental alienation syndrome really means, but for those of us dealing with it, we know all to well what it really means. It is constantly wondering why it is that the other parent (whether they like you or not) is torturing you and your child and putting you through pure hell over seeing your child. Its being depressed no matter how many good things happen in your life. Because all that you can really think or worry about is why cant I just see my child and how is that the family court wont help while serious mental, emotional, and quite possibly physical abuse is taking place ? It is never knowing which end is up and if you are going to get to see your child this next weekend or ever. Its hoping and praying the other parent will soften and start to be reasonable, year... after year... after year, and they never do. It is having the rug pulled out from underneath you every time you think you might have a glimmer of hope for things working out. It is going to bed every night wondering if its too late because maybe the child has already been brainwashed sufficiently to turn against you in court and lie to protect the other parent and the abuses they are committing against the child. It is not being able to make any plans at all or to move on with your life because you dont know what is going to happen from one day to the next or if you should save your money for a lawyer to fight a battle in a court room that seems to be something from a BIZARRO WORLD and is totally against you even though you might not be perfect, you havent done anything wrong. Its having your own flesh and blood 10 year old son whom you love to no end say to you...Dad, unless you drop the court date, I will never come to see you again...EVER!!! This is really only scratching the surface of describing what parental alienation syndrome really is and what it does to the child and alienated parent. Please take the time to think if you know of anyone going through something similar to this and let them know you care and advise them to seek help and to not give up.
