Parenting is so, so hard. And external factors can either benefit or harm. Like in-laws. Im blessed with a wonderful bunch, and Id especially like to heap praise on my mother-in-law tonight. Not only did she not interfere while I had to (repeatedly x10) discipline my unruly children tonight, but she quietly cleaned my kitchen while the drama unfolded loudly upstairs. Supportive, non-judgmental, and reassuring. You just cant ask for more than that.
