Paris Saint Germain midfielder Javier Pastore has quashed any speculation that he will be leaving the French capital after rumours have emerged that Brendan Rodgers is interested in his signature. The Argentine playmaker has come under speculation in the past that he will be seeking a way out of the club having failed to secure a regular first team role. That has alerted a number of Premier League sides, who were looking to take advantage of his situation. It was thought that Liverpool boss Rodgers was most interested after admitting he needs to add new faces so his Champions League push doesn’t fall flat. However the 24-year-old, who joined the club when they were taken over by the rich owners in 2011, says he wants to stay in Paris. Reported by talkSPORT, he told Le 10 Sport: I was the first to sign for this club and will be the last to leave. Everything [that has been said] is wrong and has nothing to do with reality. Will I return to Italy? Only to go to the movies or see my friends. Rodgers will be hoping his side can cope without Daniel Sturridge after the England striker was ruled out for up to six weeks with an injury.
