Parking? Another questions that is asked. My suggestion is, unless it is absolutely necessary, take the train into Boston or Cambridge for our tours. The Subway system in Boston is fast, inexpensive and reliable and is truly the way to travel throughout this city. You can even purchase, one day or seven day passes from the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA). The passes are quite a bargain at $11.00 for one day (the cost of a one way ride without the pass is $2.50), or $18 for a seven day pass (a great deal). Go to their website at mbta As you may have heard the drivers in this town, well to put it nicely, stink. Traffic... Unpredictable. Streets... Narrow and not a whole lot of fun to drive on. But if you must drive into our great city and are looking for parking, here are some of the parking garages I recommend when you join one of our tours. Freedom Trail Tour: The Boston Common Garage at Zero Charles is a good one and is close to the meeting place on the Boston Common. The garage is actually under the Boston Common and is accessed by Charles St. Once you exit the Garage all you need to do is walk across the Boston Common (about a five minute walk) to the meeting Freedom Trail Meeting Place. The is also the same meeting spot for our Beacon Hill Crimes Tour. For our Northend/Little Italy Tour, and the Little Italy Food Tour the closest parking garage with the best rates are the Pi Ally Garage at 275 Washington St., Boston For our Cambridge/Harvard Tour the best place to park is at the Harvard Square Parking Garage at 20 Elliot St. Cambridge. If you do choose do drive to any of our tours, try to leave yourself an extra 15 minutes as I have noticed that most of our guest who drive to our tours are usually late and miss the beginning and sometimes all of the tour. Remember what I said about traffic in Boston. Unpredictable. Just like our weather.
