Parley Resumes Sitting June 17 The third session of the National Assembly of Zambia will resume sitting next month on June, 17. Clerk of the National Assembly Doris Mwiinga announced the date through a press statement. Parliament adjourned sine die last month and during the last sitting matters blew up with opposition political parties staging walk outs and also disrupting business following the sustained demand for a people driven constitution. Mazabuka Central Member of Parliament Garry Nkombo moved the motion seeking to compel government to give a roadmap on the constitution but the ruling party shot down the motion. When the sitting resumes there could be more attempts at opening up debate for the constitution. zambiareports/2014/05/18/parley-resumes-sitting-june-17/
