Part 2 of my video, talking about the Cherokee Purple and Copia tomato plants Im growing, and some of the things Im learning in the process, as I figure out strategies for watering, staking, and trimming the plants that will give me the best possible harvest. About 30 tomatoes visible as of tonight, from tiny to baseball size, and another 100 or so flowers promising to become tomatoes soon-if theres enough nutrition and the right kind of watering (and late blight doesnt get them). So far so good. Ill be picking the first tomatoes this week, before birds get to them, and letting them ripen inside-if the Cherokee Purples taste as good as people say they do, all my work will have been worth it!! Frankly Im depressed as hell, and Ive never felt more isolated, but at least this is something I can feel good about, and one area of my life thats not a complete failure right now.
