The holiday season - typically a time for family gatherings and celebrating with friends and loved-ones - is almost here. Unfortunately for some, including seniors, who live alone and have no visiting friends or relative, the holidays can be particularly difficult. Remember during the season to extend yourself and a hand of friendship to those who may be ill or lonely or just in need of a kind word or hug. Visit someone at your local hospital or assisted living facility and youll be pleasantly surprise at what a difference your simple and unselfish act of kindness will make.
