Part 3 of 3 Q&A with Tiffany Snow From The Book Club - TopicsExpress

Part 3 of 3 Q&A with Tiffany Snow From The Book Club Discussion 1. What do you think makes Kathleen such a likable character? I think its because shes easy to see a bit of ourselves in her. Shes had a difficult life, not a bad one, but the last few years have been rough on her and yet shes persevered. Kathleen has a good heart, a kind soul, and just wants to love and be loved in return, a sentiment most of us would share, I think. 2. When James asked Kat on a date, was he really interested in Kat or was it based solely on his competitive nature against Blane? We dont know very much about James initial motives, but he asked her out prior to his knowing Blane had an interest in her and didnt react very well when he found out theyd been together. Id say his initial interest was innocent, but once Blane and Kathleen became involved, it turned into a competition. 3. The first few times Kade and Kat were in contact, he was flashing his gun. By the end of the book he seems to have softened towards Kat. What turned him around? In NO TURNING BACK and BLANES TURN, we see that Kade doesnt think very much of Blanes girlfriends and treats them accordingly. Before he even realized Blane and she were together, Kade was just doing what he had to do in order to get the job done - whether that be threatening her or flashing his gun. In BLANES TURN, you can see at one point hes quite convinced Kathleen is on the opposite side. Events unfold that change his mind and youll see more of his way of thinking in KADES TURN. 4. From almost the very beginning, Blane says he wants to take care of Kat. He mentions it several times throughout the book. Why does he feel the need to take care of her when he hardly knows her?~K Thats part of Blanes character. Hes the only child, then the oldest child, a military man with a powerful pedigree. Hes the protector and perhaps thats his excuse to insert himself into Kathleens life, a woman hes attracted and drawn to. And since he has the power and ability to take care of her - he does. 5. What caused Sheilas death was it due to her involvement with Mark and his status as a whistle blower OR her involvement with James and the political ambitions of other people? Her involvement with Mark - her death was supposed to be a warning to him. 4. When Gracie called Kat with information on who Sheilas john was, did she give Kat the wrong name because that is who she thought Sheila was seeing or was it a setup? She was told that was who Sheila was seeing, she had no firsthand knowledge, and she dutifully passed that misinformation on to Kathleen.
