Part I: The Beginnings of Samuel Kivuitus Ordeal..and what He wanted all Kenyans to know Conversations with the late Samuel Kivuitu... I need someone to talk, I am very depressed, I am in agony over the elections... I am forsaken after being demonized, cursed, insulted and castigated, doomed to hell and even shouts of burning me alive at the stake for betraying Kenyans...I asked him...are you willing to speak the truth and only the truth and tell me everything you know?...He answered yes...I need someone to talk to ...I need your support, I need all of your support...will you support my petition for justice? Kenyans have demonized me...and I know why...because they think I give the election win to Kibaki. While millions of Kenyans made the most convincing arguments...so they thought...months later, ECK Executive Chairman Samuel Kivuitu and his commissioners faced the wrath of the courts. President Kibaki with Evans Gichuru in cahoots and the Mt Kenya criminal syndicate, imposed a gag order on all the 23 ECK commissioners. Brilliant minds may have probed why 23 accused commissioners that presumably already were labeled as liars will get additional punishment of being gagged indefinitely but they were not going to get the answers!!! Punishment? Yes for ensuring they never speak the truth. Why werent they allowed to speak? That is what puzzled and troubled a man who knew he would never have his day in court to tell the world what really happened and prove his innocence…with the whole country he loved…as witness of this... He told me...I will never have my day in court, I will die and never see justice for the nation. I dont care about justice for myself...but justice for Kenyans...and he wept...and I cried too and I am still crying while I am writing this narrative...I will never be able to tell Kenyans the truth...he said...you know I am under a gag order...but I need someone I can trust...and I know you are someone I can talk to...but you must tell Kenyans the full truth ...that I never intended to betray them...I didnt betray them...I never betrayed my people...I believe and stand for democracy...but I didnt have any choice or any say What followed was painful sequence of events where he narrated the torture that he was subjected to while sitting quietly in his home, in the sitting room watching the elections results streaming in the wee morning hours of Dec 28, 2007. With the exception of the Criminal Syndicate Leadership and the ruling political elites, little did the nation know that while all were glued to their television sets ...sometime after midnight Dec 27, 2007...into Dec 28...the kitchen cabinet was summoned to State House in an emergency meeting since Raila Odinga had swept the Rift Valley and the Mt Kenya presidency was in jeopardy. It became evident that unless they do something drastic Raila Odinga will become president. They had to do everything to stop the enemy and the only way to stop the sequence of events that would follow once the Presidential vote count was completed... was to hold Samuel Kivuitu hostage and under duress. This was an emergency decision and never in the premeditated planning since the Kitchen Cabinet was absolutely sure that this election would be Mt Kenyas. They absolutely had no intent to declare Raila Odinga president and therefore had to stop the issuance of the election certificate to him-- the potential winner since the vote count was not completed but so many voter rich areas in the Rift Valley had already reported. The stage was set. It was clear that the developments were so rapid after that secret kitchen cabinet meeting and the home invasion was put into motion as emergency plan to save the Kikuyu presidency and the piki pike not to go beyond River Chania.
