This article sums up EXACTLY what is happening here in this country. The GOP know that they will NEVER hold the White House again legitimately, so theyre doing all they can to make sure the office is as irrelevant as possible, this includes rigging elections, barring Democrats from voting, and belittling the federal government any chance they can. They literally have nothing to run on any more besides protecting their wealthy benefactors. Their constituency is literally too ignorant and angry to understand that the party isnt doing ANYTHING to provide for them, which is why the GOP is always lying, scheming, and scamming them into voting against their own interests. Listen to a member of the GOP speak for more than five minutes and you will hear more lies put forward than you would a teenager that crashed the family car he wasnt supposed to be driving or the preteen that got caught playing hooky. This is because the party, in my lifetime, has been driven by a series of GOP think-tanks based in Washington. Youll hear about them now on some of the corporate media programs since the people running these organizations are vainglorious and eager to show people how influential they are. These orgs include The Club For Growth, American Enterprise Institute, The Heritage Foundation, Freedomworks etc. These are lobbying firms/PR strategy/political think-tanks that are not interested in Republicons actually governing, but Republicons paying them to come up with strategies to keep the GOP in power and their benefactors, many of whom are businessmen, from ethical business practices and paying taxes normally. In other words, they are the scum working against our system of government running smoothly. The so-called TEA Party is a work of fiction cooked up by two of these GOP think-tanks - Heritage and Freedomworks. The corporate media like CBS, CNN, ABC, NBC, and all others have alumni from these groups within their news divisions, and this is why it appears that all of these outlets are sympathetic to GOP nonsense. Our fourth estate has been compromised by corporate swine. It has been for the last 20 years. With GOP desperation on its shrinking value to the American public, including the voters, the facade is dropped every now and again, and you see corporate media figures outright challenging, if not chastising Democrats, or any individual in their right minds, over calling the GOP out for the think-tank-inspired stunt that was pulled over the last three weeks. See, they know the 2014 electoral campaign ads recalling this nonsense caused by the GOP will be mighty effective, so theyre openly trying to intimidate and diminish any effort of that happening. The media allows Republicons to come on the airwaves and call Democrats every negative thing their think-tank scripts say to call them, but one Democrat, whom they only invite on these programs in order to add fuel to the all of Washington is to blame bull, decides to call out, say, the TEA Party Caucus that was openly bragging about shutting down the government over Obamacare, the hosts of political babblefests find the will to actually challenge the truth of something. Its all deliberate and all sinister.
