Part of the process. I have written hundreds of pages of (more than one) novel, only to abandon it. And dont get me wrong--it hurts. We write to inform ourselves of why we must write the story, and, sometimes, we are informed that now is not the right time for that particular story. BUT, this year, I started anew a novel idea I tried several times to carry through to completion. Ive been working on this novel--in story form, novella, novel, nightdreams, daydreams--for a decade. And only now am I really ready to tackle it. And so far, so good... Sometimes, timing/maturity, is everything.
