Pascal blames minister for NFF crisis Ibitoye Shittu Ex-Nigerian international Patrick Pascal has hit out at his countrys sports minister, Tammy Danagogo, claiming that he is responsible for all the mayhem rocking football in the country. Nigeria football has been in serious crisis since the Super Eagles came back from this years Fifa World Cup held in Brazil. Pascal, who was once the chairman of Wikki Tourists and former NFF Electoral Committee member, revealed to supersport on Saturday that Danagogo has brought international disgrace to Nigeria football since he replaced Bolaji Abdullahi. “This man (minister) knows nothing about football and hes not ready to learn. Anybody who is not ready to learn will fail and thats what is currently happening to him. “Tammy Danagogo is the worst sports minister Nigeria could ever have and the generation yet unborn would never forgive him with all this attitude from him,” Patrick boldly told supersport. He also revealed to supersport that the sports minister removed his name from the NFF electoral committee because of foul play. “The minister knew that I would never support what he did and that was why he ordered for my removal and others from the NFF electoral committee. “His faction was the one that announced Chris Giwa as the NFF president, which is wrong, and if the minister thinks hes right, let them show Nigerians how their kangaroo election was conducted. “Now Fifa has sent us a letter that they would sanction us again if Giwa does not vacate the NFF office on or before Monday, and what baffles me now is that Giwa said he would convince Fifa. Please, who is Giwa to convince Fifa? But I dont blame him, because hes acting according to what the minister told him,” he said. He then called on the Nigeria president, Goodluck Jonathan, to intervene in the current football crisis going on in the country. “The only thing that would save us now is when the number one citizen in this country intervenes because the sports minister is an ignorant man as far as football is concerned in Nigeria,” Pascal concluded. Meanwhile, world football-governing body Fifa has handed the Chris Giwa faction of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) a deadline till midnight on Monday, 1 September 2014 to vacate the Glass House secretariat.
