Pasquale Rotella is as devoted to the scene as anyone else I have - TopicsExpress

Pasquale Rotella is as devoted to the scene as anyone else I have ever known. I have been booked by him for over 20 years now, and every single time, he has gone far out of his way to make sure we had all we ever needed, and more. His vision towards the American scene, no matter what anyone chooses to assume, is absolutely genuine and 100% with passion for the preservation of our entire lifestyle. As well as he takes care of his artists, his main focus is truly on those who come to experience the events. And while some think he is cashing in on his shows, if you saw the real breakdown in numbers between artist fees, venue, permits, stage, lighting, sound, not to mention his outrageous design concepts, etc etc, you will see that many of these festivals lose money with regard to ticket sales. I know that sounds crazy, but I can assure you this is true. at the end of the day, the proof is in the pudding. Take a look at Pasquales background and history and the number of shows he has been doing for the number of years he has been doing them, and see how important a role he has played to not only the West Coast rave scene, but for the entire Nation. Then go see what deadmau5 has done for anyone else but himself. His musical talent is absolutely undeniable, but its sometimes difficult to hear people complain about a scene they helped ruin (in terms of greed and exploitation)… I absolutely do not mean any disrespect but its how I personally have seen things regarding him...Also, if for any reason he happens to come on and chime in with his ever so popular comeback, pertaining to me not being relevant or whatever (like he said about A Guy Called Gerald, and DJ Sneak, etc ), my stock reply is I am absolutely relevant to the people I care about, and I am as relevant to DnB as anyone else on this planet. Again, no disrespect to Deadmau5, but if we all had a choice to pick between Pasquale and him to call the shots and be responsible for the future of our overall scene, the answer is blatantly obvious. big up. dave ak
