Passing Tsunami The day so bright with hope so warm and the ocean peaceful cool, so calm. Briefly noticing lifes water receding Deaths wave in the horizon, rising; Turning away in fear! A Devastating squall so soon to come. Grasping, gasping, no where to run! In shock for the moment, rush; survive Denying the end is soon to arrive, Treading deep water. Unexpecting this happening who could know The tide was turning, no signs did show! Sinking blinking salty tears holding back; Trashing, thrashing, fear abiding; Attack Forces unknown! Shouldnt be here shouldnt have gone The Survivor; Nature knocking from the throne! Sand in the eyes no time to cry, water too deep Save the rest dont let them die; no time to weep, Sinking to the bottom! Surfacing for inspiration; The tides did turn, Yet reality, unavoidably is soon to churn, Illusive, conclusive another wave will come Less intense, no defense we no longer run; Unpredictable, The Tides of Grief! Eventually the ocean with less motion will calm Lest another quake shake, this gentle hearts palm. Perhaps a peaceful moment, yes time to breath, Till the next disaster, close this chapter; Grieve! Waiting to exhale! Tides of time, so heavy, losing a loved one; Mother, Other, Daughter, Sister, or Son! This poems bout a Father, Husband & brother, is for his Family, Sisters, and his Mother; For all of You and for Me. - Tammi Broglen Bedard 11-07 2014
