Spanish, Art & Design Class for Homeschoolers Offered by the Instituto Cervantes, located at the National Hispanic Cultural Center: 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque NM 87102. This Spanish course introduces participants to the creative learning process of design education as a means of learning Spanish through hands on art based activities. Learning Spanish by design teaches children to visualize vocabulary by using images, both seen and also those they will record in a journal. Our studio environment will provide a continuous space for verbal communication through explanations, descriptions, and problem solving activities. Our integrated curriculum uses math, science, history, art, and ecology as part of a design program in Spanish. Fridays: 10:00am – 12:00pm August 29 - October 31 Ages: 8 – 12 Spanish level: Suitable for beginners to advanced beginners of Spanish (some exposure to the Spanish language would be helpful).
